Our Pastor

Dr. Donna E. Jackson

is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is the mother of three and Grandmother of six. She is the sister to Pastor Dr. Wanda Shelton and Bishop Dr. Theodore Carter, pastors in the Apostolic Faith. Dr. Jackson graduated from High School with honors in 1973. She attended the University of Cincinnati, Betz Business College, Chatfield College and Bethesda School of Nursing, majors in Education and Business Administrations. She has a Certificate in Surgical Unit Clerk from Bethesda Hospital school of nursing and Home Nursing. She graduated with honors on the Dean’s List twice. 

By the guidance of her late mother Dr. Eva P. Carter (Pastor of Bethel Pentecostal Church of the Apostolic Faith) she and her siblings were members of Bethlehem Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith under the leadership of the late Presiding Bishop Elzie W. Young (PC of AF) on Seventh St. There is where she was baptized in Jesus’ name and at 12th & Elm (church new location) she was filled with the Holy Ghost during Children’s Church at the age of nine years.

During her early years of stewardship, she was active in many church functions, committees, auxiliaries, and choirs. Working in the main office as clerk, to cooking in the church kitchen, Ushering, singing, and directing choirs, evangelizing, attending councils and national meetings. She was faithfully active in Sunday School, and here is where her Teachers training began finishing with a Teachers’ Certificate. She taught adolescents and young adult classes. Dr. Jackson was active in organizational meetings and often assisted Presiding Bishop Young and Executive Church Secretary in clerical and administrative duties. Later under her mother’s pastoral guidance she advanced in Leadership Training, Evangelism, Deliverance Ministry and Spiritual Giftings. Her mother founded the first and only Aenon Satellite Bible School with the assistance of the late Dr. Louise P. Freeman. Here is when Dr. Jackson began her studies in higher biblical education. Dr. Jackson received a Bachelor’s in Religious Education from Aenon Satellite Bible College. After her mother’s demise she continued to work with Dr. Freeman.

Approximately five years after her mother’s passing in 1983, Dr Jackson was moved by God to open Believers in Christ Apostolic Ministries in 1988, and later The Word of Life Adult Biblical Foundational Studies program. During these years she served faithfully with the Apostolic Assemblies of Christ Organization under the late Presiding Bishop G.M. Boone. She served as the Assistant Chairman of the Central District Council for fourteen years, Personal writer and reader in Pastors meetings, National Home Mission Chairman, and Evangelized for many years. She worked with Dr. Freeman to establish the Apostolic Assemblies of Christ Seminary, assisted with the conception of Christ Temple Apostolic College, First Vice President to Dr. Freeman for Grace Apostolic School and assisted in the conception of International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth, she assisted in establishing Bethesda Community Churches Bible School under Presiding Bishop R Lee Jr. where she holds a lifetime membership with the Bethesda Community Churches organization. Today Dr. Jackson carries one bachelor’s degree and five Doctoral degrees from Aenon Bible School, Cincinnati Christian College, Grace and Truth College, and International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth. Dr Jackson has served in ministry over thirty-six years. She has assisted in training ministers, worked with leaders of every rank, served on boards, worked with pastors, overseen ministries, counseled families, and individuals, traveled from state-to-state evangelizing, teaching, holding conferences, and church business solutions administrator. She enjoys helping and giving to others and her most favorite song is “Through It All” by the late Minister Andrea Crouch. She faithfully and earnestly contends for the faith in Christ Jesus.
